Hurricane Nadine is still up and wondering the mid Atlantic Ocean, Not posing any threats to anyone. There is another storm developing off the coast of Africa (Invest96L) that has a 30% chance of becoming a Tropical storm. We are in October now, it will be very unusually if we receive a tropical storm to affect the US, Not saying it can not happen but the chances are building in our favor that we will not see any activities this year.
A 7.3M Earthquake hit 41 miles SW of La Plata, Colombia. Currently there is no information available on damage or injuries.
The US Wildfire Preparedness Level is remaining at a 3, however it is apparent that the number of large fires is diminishing and we can expect this level to decrease in the near future.
