Solar Weather Alert (CME Eruption 10.5.12)

This morning a CME erupted from Sunspots 1582 and 1579, two extremely large sunspots. The CME is due to hit earth’s geomagnetic field on Oct 7 and 8^th.

We can expect some communication and TV disruptions, but we are only expecting a “glancing” blow from this CME.

This report is very new and information has not yet been completely analyzed. What that means is that forecasts might change tonight as more information becomes available.
