A new emerging sunspot Active Region (AR) 1598 has just come into earth’s view and it unleashed a M9 solar flare. We should receive a glancing blow from this flare, so prepare for some telecommunication disruptions and satellite TV interruptions.
AR 1598 should be facing earth for about 12 to 14 days and it is possible for the sunspot to be troublesome. NOAA has raised it flare forecast to a 40% chance of M-class and 10% chance of X class flares for the next 48hrs.
