When War Games become War, Really

There is a certain sense of irony that when you train for war, it may actually come along when you least expect it. Sometimes it comes along because it was all part of your plan.

People have a knack of avoiding danger. We are told to avoid dark alleys, poorly lit streets, and dangerous neighborhoods. Ignoring such advice tends to end in sorrow. But what do you do when you intentionally place yourself in harm’s way, knowing that you may be assaulted?

On October 21, in less than 10 days, a major war game scheduled with American and Israeli forces will begin and will last for three weeks. The US Navy and US forces will be present for the training exercise. 

Recent developments in the Middle East conflict include the Iranian-backed terror group Hezbollah have been launching drones into Israel, as far as 35 miles within Israel’s borders. Reports also include that the threat of chemical weapons being used by Hezbollah within Israel’s border could be close at hand.

Should a drone strike an American unit during this training exercise, it could be tantamount to a declaration of war.

If the US and Israeli forces deem such an attack as a declaration of war, most of the needed resources would already be in place for an attack against Iranian war-making resources. But Iran has already placed their resources on American soil long ago. According to Representative Peter King, there already may be hundreds of Hezbollah agents, maybe thousands of agents, living in America waiting for orders to strike key infrastructure, and according to a senior New York police official, Iran has carried out surveillance within New York City. Many of these agents walked right through our porous border, a border Mr. Obama promised to secure upon becoming President.

Within hours of a joint US/Israeli airstrike the agents would be activated to inflict as much damage as possible. Once these actions begin, a knee-jerk reaction could be anticipated by the Department of Homeland Security and the White House. The shutting down of the internet would only be the beginning. Innocent people, from those of Middle-Eastern descent to Sovereign Citizens being tracked by law enforcement, would be picked up for questioning. The National Defense Authorization Act would keep them away from legal counsel while their actions over the previous days or weeks would be investigated.

For so many, it truly would be The End Of The World As We Know It. Because thousands of possible agents may be loose upon the American Populace, martial law could proclaimed to keep the populace “safe”. In 1994, President Clinton signed Presidential Directive 25, which authorizes any president to call the United Nations to request UN military assistance, and that US Military forces would then be under the command of the United Nations.

What then, should the American People do before then?

Pray. Prepare. Practice.

Pray that nobody does anything stupid.

Prepare by getting extra food, ammunition, and supplies stocked up for possible shortages. Get more medication than you need. And teach those that don’t prepare how to prepare.

Practice those skills such as lighting a fire, firing a weapon, or even your first aid training.

Humility would go a long way in ensuring success.

Interestingly, the Israeli Home Front Command will be holding a nation-wide emergency drill testing rescue services’ response to an earthquake, called “Turning Point 6.” The paper, Yediot Aharonot reports that rescue services’ procedure when responding to buildings damaged by earthquakes and incoming missiles are similar.

As a side note regarding October 21^st, in 1096 AD, Sultan Kilidj Arslan of Nicea defeated the First Crusaders, and it was the first time the word “Liberty” displayed on a flag in Taunton, Massachusetts in defiance against British rule in Colonial America.
